Two Israeli consuls in the United States — Issachar Ben-Yaacov, in Philadelphia, and Gideon Saguy, in San Francisco — were raised formally today to the ranks of Consul-General. The Foreign Ministry also announced that the Atlanta’s Consul Shimon Yalon will leave his post, to be succeeded by Consul-General Zeev Boneh. Consul Avraham Avidar, of New York, will replace Consul-General Yaacov Barmor at Chicago.
