Two Israeli mothers were arrested for allegedly drowning their 4-year-old sons.
Regina Kruchkow was arrested Tuesday night in the alleged drowing of Michael in the bathtub of their Tel Aviv home. The boy had mild disabilities and required speech therapy.
Olga Borisov was arrested Aug. 29 for allegedly drowning Alon near a beach in Bat Yam. A Petach Tikvah court banned Borisov, who reportedly suffers from mental illness, from attending the funeral Sunday.
The alleged drownings follow a report early last week that police were searching for a missing 4-year-old, Rose Pizem. The girl’s grandfather, who is also the boyfriend of Rose’s mother, has admitted killing the girl and dumping a suitcase containing her body in the Yarkon River.
A police search for Rose’s body continues in the river and elsewhere in central Israel.
