Two Israeli soldiers were wounded in an hour-long battle with Egyptians along the Gaza strip border in the Kissufim area this week-end. The clash began when an Egyptian group penetrated Israel territory. An Israel patrol approaching this group was brought under hevy machine gun and mortar fire from Egyptian positions across the border. The Israelis returned heavy fire, forcing the Egyptians to retreat, but the exchange across the lines continued for some time.
