Two Jews, S. I. Fox and L. M. Klauber, have been appointed on San Diego’s Community Chest Board.
The Board has distinguished itself by its many-sided activities and its assistance to family welfare agencies. The Board has also established a central clinic service as a part of its program.
S. I. Fox is active in communal work. He is President of Temple Beth Israel, and is also a member of City Water Commission. L. M. Klauber is superintendent of the San Diego Gas and Electric Co.
The Temple on the Heights, B’nai Jeshurun Congregation, Cleveland , Ohio, commemorated two-thirds of a century of its existence by a dinner held at the Chamber of Commerce of Sunday evening, December 11th.
The guest speaker of the evening was Clarence Darrow, who spoke on “Has Man Free Will?”
