Tunsia’s first National Assembly will have two Jewish members, it was announced here today following final tally of the ballots cast in Tunisia’s election last Sunday. The two Jews, Albert Bessis and Andre Bar ouch, were both elected on the National Front ticket, which carried Tunisia in a landslide victory; capturing every seat in the legislature. Principal party-in the National Front is the Neo-Destour (nationalist) group, which is led by Habib Bourguiba.
