Two of the largest Talmud Torahs on the East Side, the “Zhtomirer” and the “Darkhay Noam,” have united. The merged institution will be known as the “Zhitomirer Talmud Torah Darkhay Noam.” As soon as alterations are completed, there will be room for 1,500 children in the enlarged Talmud Torah. Each one of the Talmud Torahs now has about 700 Jewish boys and girls who receive a religious and Hebrew training there.
