Two major American Jewish groups came out in support of U.S. policy on Iraq, including the use of force to stop the development of weapons of mass destruction. The Jewish Council for Public Affairs unanimously passed a statement supporting “diplomatic efforts by the United States, its allies and the United Nations to secure the elimination of Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, with the use of force” only “as a last resort.”
