Two Marines Face Discharge for Recruiting Residents to Nazi Group

Two Marine corporals here are facing a discharge after announcing in a newspaper interview that they plan to recruit local residents to the American Nazi Party and accused President Carter of “treason.” The two, Lance Cpl. Dominic G. Lewitzke, 19, and Lance Cpl. Dale R. McKissick, 20, told the Yuma Daily Sun that they have started a campaign among Yuma residents to recruit new members to the Nazi Party. The two were also quoted as saying that Carter should be convicted of treason because of the Camp David summit he arranged. The commanding officer of the Marine Corps. said the two corporals will be discharged “due to substandard personal performance.”
