Two Poles, Jan Skladowski and Creslaw Krulikowski, were today sentenced to six and four-year prison terms, respectively, for murdering a Jew during the German occupation. The pair admitted that, after successfully hiding a Jew in their home under a pile of potatoes when Nazi police searched the house, they later killed him for fear of being apprehended.
