A specially-chartered South African freighter has left for Israel with a cargo consisting of jam and other goods for the new state. Earlier, a Norwegian vessel sailed from here for Haifa with jams, 80 tons of yeast and 200 cases of clothing for relief organizations. The South African freighter’s cargo also includes four tons of seed potato, donated by the South African Potato Board to Israeli farmers conducting agricultural experiments.
