Police authorities said that they were trying to discover the identity of persons who had desecrated two synagogues here by painting swastikas on the walls and doors of two Jewish houses of worship. The affected houses of worship are the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue and the Rosh Pina Synagogue. The Nazi symbol was also smeared on sidewalks and on automobiles parked near the synagogues.
