Unconfirmed reports reaching here today said a severe typhoid epidemic has broken out among the Jews of Goban, near Aden on the southwestern tip of Arabia, and has taken a large toll of lives.
A number of rabbis and other leaders of the Jewish community are reported among the victims. Scores of children have been made orphans and rendered homeless by the epidemic.
