Omri Spitzer, one of the Israeli foreign minister’s two children, was among off-duty sailors arrested by military police over the weekend for drinking at a party, Yediot Achronot reported Sunday.
Spitzer, who serves as a missile-boat commander based in Ashdod, received a 12-day jail sentence.
Israel’s armed forces have cracked down on drinking by their conscripts since a soldier died of alcohol poisoning at a party two years ago.
