The 35-member United Jewish Appeal delegation touring Israel returned here today from Jerusalem where the delegates were met and entertained by representatives of the Jewish Agency and the Jewish National Fund. The Americans also visited the now quiet Jerusalem front.
At a press conference arranged just prior to their return to this city, the U.J.A. delegates told of their “deep emotional experience” in seeing the “Yishuv’s heroic efforts” and pledged that they would redouble their efforts in behalf of U.J.A.’s allocations to Israel when they returned to the United States.
Speakers at the news parley included Max Ogust, N. Gilmovsky, Mrs. Eleanor Abraham, Jack Cooper, Maurice Gorman, Samuel Reese and others. The delegation expects to leave Israel tomorrow.
