The hundred member United Jewish Appeal study mission which last week-end completed a two-week tour of Israel will recommend to the forthcoming national United Jewish Appeal goal-setting conference that a goal of $70 million dollars be adopted for the 1958 emergency rescue campaign. This goal will be in addition to the regular UJA drive, Jewish Agency treasurer Dov Joseph reported today to the Agency executive.
The $70 million figure represents the difference between $100 million of last year’s emergency campaign goal and the $30 million actually raised in 1957 by the satellite drive.
