Moshe Sharett, chairman of the Jewish Agency executive, met today with the 74-member United Jewish Appeal Young Leadership Study Mission which is currently visiting Israel. Rabbi Herbert A. Friedman, executive vice president of the UJA, introduced the members of the mission to Mr. Sharett.
The mission was also addressed by Prime Minister Levi Eshkol. When questioned on American Jews settling in Israel, Mr. Eshkol replied that Israel’s need for know-how in many fields, as well as the overall challenge and inspiration of participating in the upbuilding of the Jewish state, would eventually attract more and more American Jews to settle here.
