The United Nations General Assembly, in plenary session today, finalized this year’s action in regard to Arab refugees by adopting a resolution calling for a $40,700,000 budget for relief and rehabilitation work in behalf of Arab refugees for 1958. Without a roll call, the resolution passed by a vote of 52 in favor, none against, and 19 abstentions. The abstainers included the Arab and Soviet blocs.
