A compromise proposal which is expected to permit the creation of a Trusteeship Council at this session of the United Nations General Assembly was adopted last night at an evening session of the sub-committee of the Trusteeship Committee.
The proposal will allow the setting up of trusteeship agreements, subject to the understanding that no agreement has been reached on what constitutes the “states directly concerned” in such agreements.
