Eric Ward, United Nations Technical Assistance representative in Israel, today announced that 100 foreign experts in many fields have been brought to Israel in the last three years, while 120 Israeli experts were given fellowships to study abroad, all under the United Nations Technical Assistance program.
Mr. Ward cited those figures in summarizing his three-year stewardship for the UN Technical Assistance Board in this country. He is leaving his post to assume the position of director of the United Nations Information Center for the Eastern Mediterranean, with headquarters in Athens.
