A spokesman for the Secretary General flatly denied today reports that Francisco Urrutia of Colombia, Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold’s personal representative in the recently-negotiated Israel-Jordan Mt. Scopus agreement, would go to Bagdad next week to seek to persuade Iraq to adhere officially to the Jordan-Israel armistice agreement. Dr. Urrutia “is not going to Bagdad or anywhere else in the Middle East,” the source said.
