U. N. Furnished 28 Experts for Projects in Israel, Kidron Reports

The United Nations technical assistance program furnished 28 experts to various projects in Israel in the last year, while participating agencies working with the UN awarded 49 fellowships to Israelis, according to a report made here this week by M. R. Kidron, a member of the Israel delegation to the United Nations.

Mr. Kidron revealed the figures while participating in a discussion, in the General Assembly’s economic committee, on plans to alter the structure of the United Nations Technical Assistance Board, Israel, said Mr. Kidron, opposes such a change.

In Mr. Kidron’s address, he mentioned the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization among the agencies helping the UN Technical Assistance work in Israel. UNESCO, meanwhile, announced that its 1955 plans encompass expansion of science research projects in a number of countries–among which is Israel.
