Ambassador Gunnar V. Jarring, the United Nations special representative to the Middle East, will leave within a week on a short orientation visit to the capitals of the area, reliable sources said here today. Ambassador Jarring disclosed that he will establish his Middle East headquarters on the island of Cyprus. The Jarring mission, which was created by the Security Council’s Nov. 22 resolution on the Middle East, has been officially designated UNMEM — United Nations Middle East Mission.
