Official notification was received by the Foreign Ministry here today about United Nations Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold’s failure to make any progress, in his talks at Cairo with United Arab Republic Gamal Abdel Nasser, in regard to easing the UAR’s blockade of the Sues Canal against Israeli shipping and cargoes. The Foreign Ministry received word about the futile Cairo talks from the UN Secretariat in New York.
