United Nations experts today started to draft mea? for implementing the resolutions adopted here this week by the U.N. Commission ?n Rights. An official communique issued here today lists the following re?dations as having been approved by the Commission:
1. There should be inserted in any peace treaties not yet concluded, specific ?s seeking to protect minority rights and fundamental freedoms.
2. Advisory opinion should be sought from the International Court of Justice ?ing the legal rights and obligations which might still exist under certain treat? declarations and conventions concluded in the past, for the purpose of combatting? ?mination or protecting minority rights.
3. The United Nations should formulate an effective educative program regard? ?evention of discrimination and protection of minorities, including a program for ?ssemination of scientific facts regarding race.
4. The UNESSO should consider the creation of a committee of world leaders in ?tion to study and select the most common and basic principles of education de? to combat the spirit of intolerance and hostility between nations and groups.
5. The U.N. Secretariat should publish the report of the War Crimes Com?on, including judgments in recent war crimes trials, such as those of Nuremberg ?racow.
The communique discloses that it was agreed at the session of the Commission to request the U.N. Economic and Social Council to arrange with the Secretary-General to convene the Sub -Commission on Discrimination and Protection of Minorities in time ?rmit its report to reach the Human Rights Commission well in advance of the 17th of May, 1948, on which date it is due for discussion.
