Consideration of the Syrian complaint against the Israeli hydroelectric project on the Jordan River will be resumed at a meeting of the U.N. Security Council called for Thursday, it was announced at United Nations headquarters here today. Dr. Charles Malik of Lebanon is chairman of the Council for January.
Extension of an agreement between the Jordan Government and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) to reserve $40,000,000 for the Yarmuk-Jordan Valley power and irrigation project was announced here today. The extension was necessary to guarantee completion of the engineering surveys for the project.
