The U.N. General Assembly’s Social Humanitarian and Cultural Committee postponed action today on a United States-Brazil amendment to the draft convention on elimination of racial discrimination which would condemn anti-Semitism.
By adjourning the debate on that clause until tomorrow morning, at the request of the United States, the committee also postponed the consideration of the Soviet Union’s sub-amendment which brackets Zionism with Nazism, condemning “anti-Semitism, Zionism, Nazism and neo-Nazism.”
