Funds totalling $431,450,000, provided with the aid of American Jews, were spent by United Palestine Appeal agencies for an over-all program of immigration, resettlement and upbuilding in the three years since the establishment of the State of Israel, Rudolf G. Sonneborn, U.P.A. national chairman, reported to a board of directors’ meeting at the Biltmore Hotel here tonight. William D. Sylk, of Philadelphia, was installed as chairman of the U.P.A. board of director.
