Canada’s United Palestine Appeal was launched last night with a dinner at which $30,000 was raised toward the $75,000 Montreal goal. The Dominion objective is $250,000.
Principal speaker was Dr. Solomon Goldman, president of the Zionist Organization of America, who declared that only in Palestine could a tree of real Jewish civilization be planted. Officers of the campaign include Samuel Bronfman, honorary chairman; and A.J. Freiman, chairman. Harry Botshaw, Montreal chairman, presided at the dinner.
