Ogden Reid, the United States Ambassador to Israel, Yaacov Tsur, the chairman of the Jewish National Fund presidium, and Haim Yahil, director general of the Israel Foreign Ministry were among the many dignitaries who attended the planting of the first trees today in the Abba Eban Forest in the Jerusalem mountains.
The Forest is being planted in honor of the former Israel Ambassador to the United States by the B’nai Zion Order whose president, H. Fliegel, also attended the ceremony.
