Special rations allocated to “Nazi persecutees” will be withdrawn September l, Allied authorities in the British arid American zone of Germany announced here today. The basis of this new decree is the general improvement of food conditions.
Previously, approximately 2,500 calories daily had been guaranteed in the two occupied zones for individuals classed as political, religious or racial persecutes of Nazism, while the German ration ranged from 1,300 to 1,550 calories per person. German civilian rations are now up to an average of 1,800 calories daily end more food is available than ever before.
