U.S. Army Transfers All Relief Groups in Austria to Local Government; J.D.C. Exempted

The supervision of all American and foreign voluntary relief agencies in Austria, except the Joint Distribution Committee, has been ransferred by the U.S. Army to the Austrian Government effective April 1, Army headnarters here has announced.

Harold Trobe, J.D.C. director in Austria, pointed out that his agency will not a affected because it is affiliated with the International Refugee Organization and once is not in the category of relief groups which will be supervised by the Austrians.
