The draft of a resolution which calls on the governments of Egypt. Jordan, Syria and Lebanon to “cooperate fully” with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees was circulated here today by the American delegation. If the measure is found acceptable, the resolution will be proposed formally in the General Assembly’s special political committee which is continuing a debase it started last Monday on the Arab refugee problem.

A spokesman for the United States delegation said that the draft of the resolution is being discussed with the “host” governments–the four Arab countries where the refugees are located. He added that the Israel delegation was also shown a copy of the draft. The resolution also calls on UNRWA to consult with the Palestine Conciliation Commission.

Meanwhile, Egypt today called for the return of all the Arab refugees to Israel as an “absolute right” of the refugees. This view was voiced in the General Assembly’s special political committee by Salah Gohar, head of the Egyptian propaganda program. He spoke during the debate on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for the Palestine Refugees.
