The Interior Ministry has been delaying for more than a month a decision on the admission of an American Christian family who sailed here in a home-built yacht and want to settle in Israel. Warren Hardy, a 44-year-old aero-space engineer from Virginia, arrived at Haifa port Sept. 22 with his wife and their five children, aged five-14. They applied for alien residents permits but the Interior Ministry has so far refused to grant them. Haifa police have given the family until Nov. 15 to get their permits or leave. Mr. Hardy told newsmen today. “Now that we’re actually here after eight years of preparations, we love Israel even more than we expected and we are now more determined than ever to stay.”
