The Jewish Chronicle reported today that the American Embassy in Moscow had officially intervened with the Soviet Foreign Office in behalf of Prof. Moses Schorr, former Polish Senator and Chief Rabbi of Warsaw, who is said to be held in prison in Lwow, Soviet Poland.
The Chronicle said the Soviet authorities had promised to investigate the case in a friendly spirit and it was hoped that Prof. Schorr would be released soon.
