American Latex Products Corporation of Hawthorne, California, has concluded arrangements with the Alliance Tire and Rubber Company, of Hadera, Israel, for a technical cooperation program leading to the construction of Israel’s first polyurethane manufacturing plant. The agreement was announced today in New York by Shimon Y. Horn, North American director of the Government of Israel Investment Authority, on behalf of the American and Israeli companies.

Alliance will build and operate the factory, with technical know-how and training provided by American Latex. The agreement calls for the training of Israeli chemical specialists. The new project, a pilot enterprise for Israel in the field of modern plastic materials, is named Caesarea Polymer Corporation, Ltd., deriving its title from the plant site in Caesarea, an ancient Mediterranean harbor town where the Romans once based their Palestinian capital, and Emperor Titus trained his gladiators.
