The Technical Cooperation Administration today extended $6,000,000 for new purchases of foodstuffs to Israel under terms of the Mutual Security Act. The funds were taken from the approximately $25,000,000 made available in interim aid to meet emergency needs until the full amount of assistance provided Israel is available.
Previously the amount of $14,000,000 was released to cover earlier purchases. The new purchases will include two shiploads of wheat, beans, fats, sugar, barley, and other foodstuffs.
