The United States Department of Health, Education and Welfare has approved a grant of 500,000 pounds ($167,000) for the Paul Baerwald School for Social Work in Jerusalem to conduct research on disabled persons.
Last week, the school moved into a new 3,000,000 pound ($1,000,000) building on the Hebrew University campus which was provided by the Joint Distribution Committee to aid in efforts to increase the number of highly trained social workers.
