U.S. Government Willing to Receive Applications from Israel for Arms Sales, Semator Says

Senator Herbert R. O’Connor of Maryland today told newsman that he has been informed by the State Department that there is no American embargo on arms shipment to Israel and that “no preparations are being made to resume hostilities between Israel and the Arab states.” The Maryland Senater added that it was “made clear” to him that this country is willing to receive applications from Israel as well as the Arab states for the sale of munitions.
