A delegation representing the United Synagogue of America left by air today for Argentina to participate in a consultative conference of Latin American synagogues. The conference is scheduled to open in Buenos Aires on August 22. Representatives of 16 synagogues from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Panama, Peru, and Uruguay are expected to participate in sessions to be held at the Congregation Israelita de la Republica Argentina. The United Synagogue delegation is headed by Dr. Abraham J. Heschel of New York, Professor of Jewish Ethics at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America.
