Orders to all restitution offices in the U.S. zone of Germany instructing them to eliminate unnecessary red tape and to complete the entire program of restitution of property to Nazi victims by the end of next year were issued here today by U.S. High Commissioner John J. McCloy.
The High Commissioner also issued an order providing that action on applications for restitution of property must be taken within three months instead of six, as was the case until now.
