The American Jewish Congress and nine other national Jewish organizations appealed to the Moroccan Government last night to end the “campaign of persecution and terror” against the country’s 200,000 Jews.
The appeal asked the end of arbitrary arrest, detention and abuse of Jews, removal of barriers to their emigration to Israel and resumption of postal communications with Israel. The appeal was made in a letter to Dr. El-Mehdi, Morocco’s Ambassador to the United States.
