An extraordinary conference convened by presidents of major American Jewish organizations will be held Nov. 26 through Nov. 27 in New York City, attended by delegates from most states in the union, it was announced here today.
The conference, which will take place at the Delmonico Hotel, has been called to consider the present crisis in the Middle East as it affects world peace, American interests and the security of Israel and to express the profound concern of American Jewry, both as Americans and Jews, “in this hour when the fate of Israel and the United States are so obviously inseparable.”
Presidents endorsing the conference are: Rabbi Philip S. Bernstein, American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs; Joseph Breslaw, American Trade Union Council for Labor Israel; William Carmen, Jewish War Veterans of the United States; Pinchas Cruso, Central Committee, Labor Zionist Organization of America; Dr. Maurice N. Eisendrath, Union of American Hebrew Congregations; Moses I, Feuerstein, Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America; Dr. Mirian Freund, Hadassah.
