U.S. Jews are giving money for 24-hour security at a Russian synagogue. A Chicago affiliate of the Union of Councils for Jews in the Former Soviet Union is donating $6,000 for the synagogue in the city of Tyumen. The synagogue has been vandalized seven times in the past year.
