The 29th national convention of the Labor Zionist Organization of America opened here today to discuss questions of major interest to Jews in this country and Israel. The convention will last four days.
The several hundred delegates attending the parley will take up the problem of encouraging greater economic participation by American Jewry in the upbuilding of Israel, the extending of maximum political assistance to Israel and the intensifying of Jewish education and communal organization in the United States. Singled out for particular attention is the question of immigration to Israel, and ways which it can be stimulated.
