A report on a survey mission which examined problems in the Middle East informed the House Foreign Affairs Committee today that “in Israel, the official attitude appeared to be that American aid was so clearly in our interest that acceptance of it involved no obligation to our country.”
The report was submitted by committee chairman James P. Richards, South Carolina Democrat, and Rep. John M. Vorys, of Ohio, ranking Republican on the Committee. Their conclusions were based on a trip they made to the Middle East.
