U.s Navy Officer Who Returned to Poland to Find Family’s Murderers Succeeds in Mission

An American Naval officer who came to Poland to find and prosecute the murderers of his family has accomplished his mission, it was reported here today.

Edmund Katz, a New York Jew born in Lubatchev, Learned that his entire family was killed during a pogrom in his native town which was led by a pole named Serdynski and his son. Captain Katz, who was aided by the police, searched for the pair for many months and finally found the senior Serdynski in Lower Silesia and the son in a village in the Posen area. The pair were arrested by the police and confessed their crime. They are expected to stand trial soon.
