The United States Navy on a request from the State Department has sent seven mobile radio communications units to Haifa to assist U.S. military observers in carrying out the U.N. truce, the Navy announced today.
The units and their operators arrived at Haifa today aboard the U.S.S. Marquette, the announcement said. The Marquette was cruising with the U.S.6th fleet in the Mediterranean, the units were assigned from the Mediterranean fleet to avoid delay in delivery, a spokesman said.
