U.S. officials revoked the visa of a controversial Swiss Muslim who was to become a visiting scholar at Notre Dame. Under terms of the Patriot Act, the State Department announced Tuesday that it was revoking a visa granted to Tariq Ramadan. Ramadan is widely considered to be an apologist for radical Islam, though he also has spoken out against anti-Semitism.
