The U.S. Postoffice Bureau of Personnel notified postmasters throughout the United States today in connection with the forthcoming observance of Rosh Hashona and Yom Kippur that “insofar as practicable,” leave should be granted to employes scheduled for duty who wish to attend services on these religious holidays. The notice pointed out that it was the Postoffice Department’s policy to cooperate in permitting Federal employes to observe their religious holidays.
