An agreement has been concluded for the filming of the life of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, first President of Israel, it was announced here today by Arthur Krim, president of United Artists, which will distribute the film on a worldwide basis.
The agreement for production of the film was signed with Meyer Weisgal, friend and literacy executor of the late President. Much of the film will be planned and photographed in Israel. Producers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressberger and designer H. Heckroth will leave shortly for Israel to tour the country in advance of writing and producing the film.
